The very talented Steve Martin is so much more than only a comedian. I’ve recommended one of his plays before (read here) and today I heartily recommend this contemporary fiction piece, The Pleasure of My Company. I’m not aware of too many stories based on a man with OCD, this is one of them. It is an engrossing read. There is humor, but more than that. It’s subtle, and touching in a realistic way. Just as a side note: the paperback version is cheaper than the Kindle version.

  3. Holy cow – Steve Martin is a bluegrass musician, comedian, actor – and now a novelist?

Is there anything he can’t do?

I’ve been meaning to read some fiction by Steve Martin. I’ve only read “Born Standing Up”. I’ll have to check this out!
