Picasso at the Lapin Agile and Other Plays by Steve Martin

The very talented Steve Martin is much, much more than only a comedian. I loved his novels, perhaps I’ll recommend them later, but I particularly liked his play, Picasso at the Lapin Agile. An intelligent, terrific read.

  1. I saw a theater production of this years ago! It was quite wonderful. I didn’t realize it had been published in book format — thanks!

  2. Thank you for following my blog. I really enjoyed this post about Steve Martin; he is truly a funny person – in person, on the screen, and on paper. I had the pleasure of attending a special talk hosted at my local museum where he was discussed art and his personal art collection. I also read Steve Martin’s book “Pure Drivel”, which was hilariously and thought provoking; I highly recommend it if you have not read it yet. I have not read “Picasso at the Lapin Agile,” and my library current does not carry it. So, I will have to recommend it as a future library purchase; thanks for sharing.

  3. I saw the play on Broadway on its opening run. It’s still etched in my memories as a worthwhile theatrical experience. Thanks becoming a subscriber. Happy blogging.
